HISTORY WINTERCIRCUS APELDOORN

Wim Zomer is a well known actor in Holland. He performed with his own theatre company all over Europe and played major parts in film and television productions. In 1997 he was presented the STORY award for Hollands most popular tv actor.
With Jeroen Harleman he organizes since 1994 as a hobby the Wintercircus in Apeldoorn.
The 17th circus in winter 2010/11 will be organised by Emmanuel en Elke Horwood. Wim and Jeroen are not longer responsable, but will stay on, cooperating in the artistic part.

1st Winter 1994/95

Circus Aladdin house acts and from Germany Marita Kendler - anti pode ; Rick Flair - handstand acrobatics ; Switserland Dalottis - dogs

2nd Winter 1995/96

Circus Aladdin and from Italy Gillert family - cascade & wire ; Csjech. Rep. Faltynis - western show & juggling ; Belgium Rafaela - small animals & donkey liberty ; Wim Zomer presentation and direction.

3rd Winter 1996/97

Circus Aladdin and from France Biasini family - anti pode, bicycle acrobatics ; Rumania Roman Troupe rhonrad, handstand voltige and trapeze ; Ukraine Olga en Oleg - handstand acrobatics and trapeze ; Germany Roberto Taylor - juggler ; Switserland Dalottis - dogs ;
Wim Zomer presentation and direction.

Since 1997 the stichting Wintercircus Apeldoorn organizes the circus. The French circus Micheletty takes care of the technical equipment.

4th Winter 1997/98

Wim Zomer presented : Hobby Hoppers, Rialteros from Germany ; Hungaria BMX troupe - bicycles and vertical rope ; Scotland Donald Grant - diabolo ; Sweden - de Kosowiiks horses Csjech. Rep. Joowanis - juggling and trapeze ; France Nils Einar - rheindeers ; Alexi & Jean Gruss - rola rola and clowns ; England Clarrisons - hot dog show ; Mongolia Hiske - trapeze

5th Winter 1998/99

Wim Zomer presented : from Rumenia Catana Troupe ; Germany Hobby Hoppers and Bolanos ; Krenzola jr. - small animals ; Sebastiaan & Ronald Sankar - klisnigg ; Antoine family - horses ; France Rebecca Micheletty - hair act ; Nathalia Herz from Russia fell during the first show from the trapeze and was not able to perform any more.

Wim Zomer and Jeroen Harleman received the ‘Prix d’Honneur’ for presenting the most original circus in the Netherlands.

6th Winter 1999/2000

Wim Zomer presented : Russia the Kotsuba family ( handstand ) acrobatics ; Anton Tarbeev - diabolo ; Youlia Tchakanova - acrobatics with dog ; Ukraine groupe Kiru horizontal bars ; Valentina Mruz - trapeze ; New Zealand Reuben King - juggler ; Danmark Kim Kenneth - magic ; Belgium Tony Carlini - clown ; France Albert Micheletty - bicycle balance, Romina & Perle - equilibrisme, Anna Micheletty - wire, animals circus Micheletty

7th Wintercircus 2000/2001

8th Wintercircus Festival 2001/2002

Since 2002/3 the visitors can vote for their favourate act , which becomes the JURESTA BOKAAL. Winner is the Stykan family from the Csjech. Rep. with their handstand act.

9th Wintercircus Festival 2002/2003

11th Wintercircus Apeldoorn 2004/5

Wim Zomer presented from Russia/Poland Trio Gavrosh - handstand voltige; Duo Monastyrsky - costume illusionists; Trio Wozniewksy - trapeze; From Czsech Rep. Jozef and Maria Wolf - head perche. Trio Vinicki-Smaha - juggling. From Latvia Darja en Pavel - rollerskates and cats. From France Steve Micheletty - straps and Sarah en Jennifer - contorsionists. Clowns - Don Christian and Patric from Austria and England; cirque Micheletty - horses and exotic animals. Fam. Wolf won the Juresta Bokaal for their ladder balance act.

12th Wintercircus 2005/2006

Wim Zomer presents:
From Portugal family Cardinali with sealions and son Jorge, ladder balance. From Russia Trio Andrey, comedy trampoline and Trio Aleshin Icarier. From the Ukraine familiy Tkach. Valery juggling with big hooples and sticks, his parents doing rola on each other and a head perche act. From Swiss Ziska Riva with an original wire act. From Romania, groupe Dragomir, 10 young people, handvoltige and with the springboard they will try to jump 6 men high. From Germany the clowns Gin & Tonic, and from France our liberty horses presented by Rico Micheletty.

Mr. Cornielje gives the Juresta Bokaal to the troupe Dragomir.

13th Wintercircus 2006/2007

From the French circus Arlette Gruss, three acts. The Carrillos from the USA, high wire, Israfilov from Russia, juggling with monkeys, and Pedro en Tatiana trapeze. Wim Zomer performs together with the Shepperds clowns.
From Great-Britains Billy Smart are appearing the Voladas (Belarus) horizontal-barre and Anastasya, handstand act. The Great Frantelini (Germany) will suprise with comedy magic. The Panovy’s from Russia are spectacular with antipode. From the Ukraine Doiniza will present her wonderfull dogs and David Micheletti from France his liberty horses. From Latvia Vladimir Saveljevs juggling.

Sjoukje Dijkstra gives the Juresta Bokaal to the Carrillos.

14th Wintercircus 2007/2008 22 dec. till 5 Jan. 2008.

From Russia, Duo Volkov with their beautiful choreographed acrobatic acts, Ekaterina Karmashova, spectaculair swinging trapeze and the Groupe Kirakosyan, with their sensational Perche act. Rosi en Roger Mettin-Hochegger from Germany with their miracle horse and brilliant juggling on horseback, accompanied with dogs. From Holland, Pascal & Deborah as hilarious clowns and Come Correct from our home town Apeldoorn with stunning breakdance. Sebastian and Kristina Richter from Hungary presented the washington trapeze and a comical vert.rope with dog. Mirco and Christoph, from Poland risked their lives on the ‘wheel of death’. As usual the show was directed and presented by Wim Zomer.
Pammy and Angelo Boltini gave the Juresta bokaal to the wonderfull YOUNG tempo juggler Thomas Janke from Germany.

15^th Wintercircus 20 dec. 2008 till 4 jan. 2009

From the Ukraine duo Impression with a very original trapezeact. From Russia, the hilarious Bobylevs clowns and Misha Sozonov dancing and balancing on the rola rola. Troupe Taschkenbaev presented a very spectaculair highwire act. Ensemble Phoenix from our hometown Apeldoorn suprised with folkloristic dances. From France came family Stykan. As duo they did a wonderfull act, which was invited for Monte Carlo 2010, while their 13 years old son Andre won the Juresta Bokaal with a fantastic handstand act. Andrej Fjodorov from Latvia shined in an incredible act with pigeons and goes also to Monte Carlo 2010. From France Serge Massot surprised our audience as comical ventrilogist and last but not least, Bernhard Casselly from Germany came with 6 Camels and a wonderfull elephant act.

The mayor of Apeldoorn Fred de Graaf gave the Juresta bokaal to the 12 years old Andre Stykan from France, for his great handstand act.

Wim Zomer en Jeroen Harleman, the directors of the circus were honoured as Ridder in de orde van Oranje Nassau, by the Queen of the Netherlands.

16^th Wintercircus 23 december 2009 till 3 jan. 2010

Troupe Alexander from Rumania springboard. From Latvia Darja en Pavel, roller skates. Gin & Tonic, Germany had a lot of succes with their clown entrees. Troupe Khadikov came from Khazakstan with a spectaculair djigits act. The Fausto Scorpions , USA were hilarious with their ikarier act. Daughter Stephanie Hula hooped. Ekaterina from Russia did a nice straps act and David Micheletty presented 6 beautiful liberty horses. Duo Lumei from Portugal changed, dancing through the ring, costumes, Duo Rubtsov from Russia presented a wonderfull juggling act with hats. Darja surprised everyone with her cats and dog and won the Stentor bokaal. Wim Zomer directed and presented as usual a heart warming show.

17^th Wintercircus - 23 t/m 30 dec. 2010 - Vision Park in the bigtop of circus Arena / Danmark.
